This Is More Valuable than the Most Expensive ‘purchased Wisdom’
I’m a pack rat when it comes to saving anything personal or creative that my kids did when they were little!
Sometimes what they produced is more valuable to me than the most expensive ‘purchased wisdom’.
The note below, written by my youngest daughter over two decades ago, still has the power to shore up my self-esteem and remind me of how much I/We touch the lives of others.
Who I admire is my dad.
I admire my dad because he is good at helping me at math and time.
I also admire him because he is learning how to fly. He also works hard. He helps me out a lot of the time and is nice to me.
I admire my dad because he helps me when I do science projects and because he teaches me about the stars and rocks.
He teaches me about animals and about mountains. He teaches me about all kinds of caves like wind caves as well as trees and volcanoes and how to build things.
He helps me understand how animals live. He is good at playing music and all kinds of sports and is good at art.
He is also good at all kinds of math problems and is good at a lot of science things like making crystals. He is good at cooking deserts.
He teaches me about the earth and ocean and whales and all kinds of animals that live in the sea.
Takeaway: Words of kindness or admiration can last a lifetime. Who in your life may need some of these words?
