Persuasion and the power of ‘because’

When it comes to persuasion some words are more persuasive than others. And, one of the most persuasive words is because. That’s because what you say after the word because gives your listeners a reason to believe what you said before the word because.

The power of because comes from the fact that we don’t make decisions logically. We typically make them emotionally and then justify them logically. When you use the word because you are giving your listeners a reason to believe you.

In fact, over the past few decades studies have shown that the reason following the word because doesn’t even have to be logical or provable. Just the fact that an explanation followed the word because was enough to have the desired effect.

So, Speak Your Mind more confidently and clearly by using the word because, because it gives your listeners a reason to believe you.
